It’s a good app. But a couple annoying aspects. If you change store locations, then any items not found in the new store just disappear, and you don’t know what they were. You might not even know you lost items from your list unless you happen to notice the item count before changing store. That is a recent change - it used to notify. Also, it’s difficult (though not impossible) to have both an online order and an in-store shopping list.

The L&B app was my favorite grocery app, the others (both in MN and elsewhere in the country) were not even close when it came to user friendly interface and ease of use. BUT, someone decided to make it “better” and IMHO (at least) two changes make it almost unusable. The first, is the “bias” toward L&B branded products being displayed first. While I understand the company’s desire to put this in, you sometimes have to scroll through many items to get to a non-L&B branded product (e.g., spices). The second, is different “flavors” of a same product use to be “stacked” whereby if you were scrolling, you only had to look at (for example) one “category” jello and the app told you there were actually 15 different flavors of jello you could tap and open if that’s what you were looking for. NOW, you have to scroll through every single jello flavor before you see the next item/category. These two things really impact scrolling through your weekly ads. They both seem like areas that would be easy to fix/streamline and get back to the best grocery app in the country.

You can’t even delete all the checked items you’ve bought … delete ALL checked was an option … now you have to individually delete! Is anyone paying attention?

I used this app to order groceries for pick up for the first and last time. The app doesn’t allow you to make notes or indicate if you allow substitutions or not. Only the website allows that. The app will automatically select “yes” to substitutions. I didn’t know the app did this until I saw my confirmation email indicating I would allow substitutions. I tried to correct this for my order on the website and apparently the changes I made didn’t go through to store. They were out of stock on two items I needed and substituted an expensive item I don’t eat.

When wrote in for a refund, they told me it was my fault for selecting substitutions allowed. I explained that I used the app and didn’t actually select substitutions allowed, they said, “we’ll give you a refund this time. However, in the future, you shouldn’t use the app if you don’t want substitutions. It doesn’t let you decide.” How does the app user know that before ordering?! We don’t! There’s no note.

I won’t be using this app or shopping at L&B in the future. I can understand technology failing or lacking, but I don’t appreciate being condescended by L&B staff due to their technology failing. They were simply rude.
